In the first class on Tuesday afternoon, 30th October, 2018, teacher Liu Zeren with the English group of Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Department of the east campus showcased an English open class in Class 4, Grade 8. All the English teachers from the Junior High Section attended the class, commented on this lesson afterwards and offered some instructional advice.
The contents of this public class centered on Unit 5 Do you want to watch game shows? (1a-1c), Volume One of Grade 7. Teacher Liu Zeren made full preparations beforehand and the teaching activities were well designed so that the presentation of the whole class was perfect. More remarkably, by means of a video about her tour in Thailand, Liu Zeren made a natural transition to the TV programs through which the children could choose the given topics and talked about their favorite TV programs. Therefore, the teaching contents were arranged from easy to difficult.
Besides, teacher Liu Zeren’s standard pronunciation was so brilliant that the teachers present enjoyed an auditory feast.
